The Blues were completely outplayed by City who rode high on two goals each from Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez with Nedum Onuoha also managing to hit the back of the net. The defeat puts an end to any lingering hopes of European qualification for Birmingham who will now have to play for a place in the top half of the table.

Meanwhile Hull City will be hoping to take advantage of Birmingham’s poor run of form and collect three vital points that will keep them in the hunt to climb out of the drop zone. Hull’s hopes of avoiding relegation received a big blow last weekend after it was confirmed that top scorer Stephen Hunt will be out for the rest of the season with a foot injury. Hull will also be missing Andy Dawson, Anthony Gardner and Liam Cooper who are all out injured.
