Bayern’s failure to stop Gladbach from equalising means that they are now three points behind Hoffenheim and Leverkusen in the table. Goals from Luca Toni and Franck Ribery had all but sealed the game for the Bavarians, but strikes from Rob Bradley and Michael Friend saw Gladbach complete an amazing turnaround. Energie Cottbus are tied with Arminia on points, but are last in the Bundesliga table thanks to their poor goal difference. They have won only twice this season- against Hertha Berlin in September and against Karlsruhe last week. The winning goal against Karlsruhe was scored by substitute Branko Jelic. Much has been said against manager Steffen Heidrich, and that win has given him much needed respite. All is also not well in the team, with Igor Mitreski getting banished to the reserves for criticising the trainer and Dimitar Rangelov and Ervin Skela getting involved in an alleged scuffle.
