The Nerazzurri are clear favorites to lift a fifth successive Serie A title after moving eight points clear with half of the season gone. However manager Jose Mourinho will be concerned with his side’s recent run of form that has seen them struggle to stamp their authority over their opponents.

The defending champions almost suffered an embarrassing defeat against bottom club Siena last weekend, twice coming from behind to equalize before collecting all three points thanks to an injury time winner by defender Walter Samuel.

Mourinho will be disappointed by his side’s display and will be expecting a vastly improved performance against Bari this weekend. With Milan expected to secure a comfortable victory over Siena on Sunday, Mourinho will be hoping that his side can maintain its eight point lead ahead of the all important match between the two sides next weekend.

Meanwhile Bari coach Giampiero Ventura will be hoping that his side can bounce back from their narrow defeat against Fiorentina last weekend and put up another spirited display against the league leaders.

The newly promoted side has had an excellent first half of the season and is currently positioned 10th in the league table. Ventura will be pleased with his side’s performances so far and will be optimistic that they can maintain the form for the remainder of the season and finish inside the top half of the table.
