Conversely, Real Madrid’s defence of their crown seems to be slipping further and further from their grasp with each passing week. Last weekend they were humbled at the Bernabeu by high flying Sevilla with the incredible score line of 4-3. The visitors went 3-1 up at one stage only for Real to claw back the score to 3-3, with everybody expecting the major comeback to be completed. How wrong could they be though when Sevilla broke away and scored a winner in the 85^th minute. Real’s Dutch striker Arjen Robben was sent off in the 77^th minute of the fixture and now misses the game against Barcelona. Madrid are now trailing Barcelona in the league by nine points and have now lost three times in the last four league games.
