Barcelona clash with Recreativo Huelva in their next La Liga game as they seek to narrow the gap at the top of the table.

The Catalan giants have not been in best of form and have chalked up inconsistent performances. A shock 2-0 defeat to Getafe in their last La Liga match saw Barca concede more ground to Real Madrid at the top of the table and slip down to third, three points behind Villarreal.

While Barca's home form has been excellent, it is the away form that has been worrying both the fans and the players with the team collecting just six points from their six away games with just one victory so far.

Barcelona are also struggling with injuries. Deco has a ruptured muscle in his thigh and will be out for five weeks, while Samuel Eto'o is expected to miss much of the season following his thigh surgery in early September.  

Meanwhile Recreativo Huelva will be looking to take advantage of Barca's poor form and grab some much needed points as they look to move up the table. Five defeats and just one victory in last five games has seen Recreativo lose out a good start and slip into the relegation zone with 12 points from 12 matches.

For Recreativo Huelva Barber has not played the last five games and it is unclear if he will be ready for the Barcelona clash. Gerard will miss the game through suspension after he received a red card Nov. 11 against Osasuna.

Barcelona are third in the La Liga table with 24 points from 12 games, while Recreativo Huelva are 18^th with 12 points from 12 games.

Barcelona had comfortably won the fixture 3-0 last season and manager Frank Rijkaard will be delighted with a similar performance in order to lift some pressure off himself.
