Barca capitalized on Real Madrid shock loss to Real Madrid to collect all three points against Real Zaragoza last weekend, closing down the gap to 5 points with still over 14 games to play. The Catalan giants took the lead just past the half hour mark through Thierry Henry.

Zaragoza missed a golden chance to equalize in the first half when Diego Milito shot his penalty kick high over the bar. However the hosts managed to find the equalizer eight minutes into the second half through Ricardo Oliveira and just when it looked like both the teams will have to share the points, Barca were given a penalty in the final minute of the game which was gleefully converted by Ronaldinho.

The win would have lifted some pressure off manager Frank Rijkaard who will be hoping that his side will go on from strength to strength and reclaim the league title from their arch rivals. Samuel Eto'o is expected to return back to full fitness after recovering from a thigh injury with Oleguer being the only injury concern for Rijkaard.

Meanwhile Levante continued to improve their dismal form with their second victory in four games after trouncing fellow struggler Osasuna by a margin of 2-1. The win saw them move 10 points away from safety and while the club does face an uphill task, manager Gianni De Biasi will be hoping that his team will maintain its recent good form for the remainder of the season.
