However Barca have failed to beat Celtic at Camp Nou on two occasions that they have played each other.

Barca were held to a 0-0 draw in the 2003-04 UEFA Cup fourth round with Celtic following it up with a 1-1 draw in the next season's Champions League group stage. The Catalan giants have already recorded a 2-0 victory over Rangers at Camp Nou in the group stage this season, though that is their only victory against a Scottish side on Spanish soil.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan will be daring to hope to record his side's first away victory in Europe this season with Celtic losing all of their three away matches to date. Celtic's overall away form in European competitions is woeful, with the club losing 15 of their 16 matches played on road and managing just a single draw.

This is the farthest that Celtic have progressed in the competition and Strachan will be hoping to build on his side's unbeaten record at Camp Nou and stage an upset this Wednesday.
