They are also the only team in the group not to have scored a single goal. Vogts has however managed to transform Azerbaijan into a well organised outfit, and Odlar Yurdu have only conceded five goals so far. Azerbaijan's last international game was against Wales, which they lost 1-0. David Edwards scored the only goal of the game. Joachim Loew's side are yet to be beaten in qualifying, and have already scored eighteen goals- at an average of three a game. Joachim Loew has chosen to blood new talent, and has left out veteran Torsten Frings out of the squad. Cologne forward Lukas Podolski has been ruled out of this game with a leg injury. Ace hitman Miroslav Klose missed Bayern Munich's Bundesliga game against Hoffenheim with a swollen ankle, but is expected to recover in time for the Azerbaijan tie.
