Co-hosts Austria have a tough task on hand as they set about salvaging their pride in front of home fans. In their opening Euro 2008 encounter, Austria went down 1-0 to Croatia courtesy a Luka Modric goal.

The goal resulted from a penalty after Rene Aufhauser brought down Ivan Olic in the box. Coach Josef Hickersberger is in a catch 22 situation and needs to win the remaining two games if Austria are to go through to the next stage.

Poland were touted to give a strong challenge to the might of Germany, but went down 2-0 thanks to Lukas Podolski's brace. Poland captain Maciej Zurawski was injured during the game compounding the problems faced by the Poles.

It appears he has strained his quadriceps muscle and will only be able to play should Poland progress to the next stage. Poland coach Leo Beenhakker has insisted that his side have their destiny in their own hands and might opt to go in with Marek Saganowski to replace Zurawski.

Mariusz Lewandowski has an ankle strain, but he should be fit for this game.
