Austria Vienna are last in the group with only two points from four games and will be eliminated if they do not beat Bilbao at the Franz Horr Stadium on Thursday night. They have drawn both their home games in Group L so far- a 1-1 draw with Portuguese side Nacional on Match Day 2, and a 2-2 draw on Match Day 3 with group leaders Werder Bremen.

Austria Vienna lost 2-0 to Werder in Germany on Match Day 4. Since the loss to the Green Whites, they have won two games and lost one in the Austrian Bundesliga. The two wins came over Sturm Graz and Austria Karnten, while the loss was a heavy 4-1 one defeat at the hands of local rivals Rapid.

Athletic Bilbao drew with Nacional on Match Day 4. The Portuguese side took the lead through Edgar’s 64^th minute penalty, but Bilbao replied 21 minutes later through Joseba Etxeberria, also from the spot.

Bilbao crushed Almeria 4-1 in their weekend La Liga game. Goals from Javier Martinez and Aldekoaotalora Ustaritz put Los Leones 2-0 ahead at the break, and further goals from Fernando Llorente and Oscar allowed them to stroll to their sixth league win of the season.

Bilbao and Austria Vienna have already met once in Group L.
