Catch all the live soccer action on free-football.tv as the latest round of live international football friendly games feature almost all the big names in world football. UEFA EURO 2008 co-hosts Austria take on Germany on February 6th.
Coach Josef Hickersberger has named an 18-man squad for the friendly and has recalled defender Emanuel Pogatetz after sorting out his differences with the Middlesbrough man. Pogatetz has been out of the Austria team since 2006 when he publicly criticized Hickersberger.
Midfielder Thomas Prager and striker Roland Linz also make it to the squad, but goalkeeper Helge Payer has withdrawn due to illness and has been replaced with Christian Gratzei of SK Sturm Graz. Austria have been in woeful form winning just one of 12 friendlies last year. Some fans vented their anger by asking the team to withdraw from Euro 2008.
Meanwhile Germany coach Joachim Löw has recalled Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack in his squad for Wednesday's friendly. Ballack has been out of the German team after sustaining an ankle injury in March last year.
Low has also called up Jermaine Jones and Heiko Westermann, both of whom could win their maiden international caps against Austria. But Torsten Frings, Christoph Metzelder, Arne Friedrich, Marcell Jansen, Clemens Fritz, Christian Pander and Serdar Tasci miss out due to various injuries.
