Atletico are in for a fight to qualify for the Champions League next season with as many as four clubs vying for the fourth place in the league table Atletico are tied on 44 points with Racing Santander while Sevilla and Espanyol are just two points behind. Though beating the drop is still mathematically possible, Levante will have to showcase a marked improvement in form over the remaining 11 matches if they are to stage a miraculous escape from relegation.

Manager Gianni De Biasi will however be pleased with the recent form shown by his team and made Sevilla work hard for their win last weekend. Levante took a shock lead in the 4th minute through Riga Mustapha but goals from Seydou Keita and Luis Fabiano ensured that there was no upset as Sevilla maintained their push towards qualifying for Europe.

Levante have lost their last three matches against Atletico and have failed to hit the target in four matches with Javier Aguirre's side already winning 1-0 early this season.
