Roma must continue picking up points if they are to exert any pressure on run away leaders Inter. A trip to Stadio Azzurri d'Italia represents a tough fixture, Atalanta have lost only once there this season, but Roma must return to the capital with something to show for their efforts.

They are going there with a fully fit squad, except for Marco Cassetti who sits this one out through suspension. For Atalanta there main attacking threat Cristiano Doni is still missing through suspension following his indiscretion when lashing out at the referee's door. Also missing from the home side's line-up will be Claudio Rivalta, Leonardo Talamonti, Costinha and Simoner Inzaghi who are all on the injury list.

It is a crucial game for Roma as they cannot afford to let Inter extend their gap at the top of the league, also for Atalanta who currently sit on the fringes of UEFA Cup qualification and will feel they are in a good position to make a forthright charge for European qualification in the second half of the season. Roma may just edge it with Atalanta missing the creative flair of Doni.
