Villa currently sit on top of Group F thanks to their wins over Ajax and Slavia Prague. The winner against Prague was scored by Norwegian striker John Carew, who will unfortunately miss this game as he has a back problem. Zilina’s only Group stage goal, against Hamburg, was scored by Czech midfielder Emil Riilke.

Even if they beat Martin O’Neill’s side, Zilina also need the result of the Hamburg- Slavia Prague game to go their way. Should Hamburg win, Zilina will be eliminated, regardless of what they do at Villa Park.
