The Clarets have the worst away record in the competition and have collected just one point from the 13 games played away from Turf Moor. Manager Brian Laws will be hoping to break the poor run and finally register an away win as he looks to help his side climb out of the drop zone.

Meanwhile Aston Villa coach Martin O’Neill will be expecting an improved performance from his side after a disappointing draw against Manchester United. Villa had the numerical advantage for most of the game but only some last ditch defending helped them secure a point against the defending champions.

O’Neill expressed his disappointment at the performance and will be aware that his side cannot afford any more slip ups if they are to remain in contention for a Champions League spot next season.
