Villa are going through a decent run of form and have won two of their last three games including a 3-1 win over Blackburn Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup. With his side just 90 minutes away from booking a place in the Carling Cup final, coach Martin O’Neill will be hoping for another strong run in the competition as he looks to maintain his side’s good form so far this season.

Brighton on the other hand are struggling for form at the lower end of the League One table with the club in serious danger of getting dragged into a relegation dogfight in the final third of the season.

The Seagulls have had a fairly easy run in the FA Cup so far, beating Wycome Wanderers, Rushden and Torquay United on their way to the fourth round of the competition. Manager Gus Poyet will be hopeful that his side can maintain their good run in the competition and pull off an upset result on Saturday by progressing to the next round for the first time in more than 20 years.
