 Rovers lost the first leg 1-0 at Ewood Park to Villa. Winger James Milner's 23rd minute strike proved to be the difference between the two sides. Although Blackburn struggled in the first half, they did get their bearings back in the second and struck the woodwork of Brad Guzan's goal twice. Villa's Curtis Davies and Nigel Reo Coker are doubtful starters while Dutch defender Wilfred Bouma is definitely out. Blackburn manager Sam Allarydce can once again call upon Senegalese forward El Hadji Diouf, who is available for selection after serving a three match ban. Vince Grella and Lars Jacobsen are unlikely to feature. Villa have won five of their last six games at home against Blackburn.
