Aston Villa take on Wigan Athletic this Saturday in a match that could see them assure their place in Europe for the next season.  Watch all the live premiership action on Live Sport Network.

A win against Wigan could see Villa finish at least seventh this season and qualify for the Intertoto Cup. However manager Martin O'Neill will be hoping that his side will manage to collect maximum points from the remaining two matches with the club scheduled to play injury hit West Ham side in the final match of the season.

Villa were held to a hard fought 2-2 draw by Everton last weekend. The Toffees had taken a second half lead through Phil Neville but Gabriel Agbonlahor equalized for Villa 10 minutes before full time.

Everton looked to have wrapped up all three points when they retook the lead through Joseph Yobo but in the 84th minute John Carew continued his return to form by grabbing the equalizer two minutes later.

The draw leaves Villa sixth in the league table with 59 points from 36 matches, four points above Blackburn Rovers in eighth place. O'Neill could be without the services of Craig Garder who is yet to recover from his thigh injury.

Meanwhile Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce will be hoping to collect at least a point from the game as he looks to keep his side away from the relegation zone.

Wigan need just two points from their remaining two matches but with his side set to meet Manchester United in the final game of the season, Bruce will be hoping that his side will manage to have ensured their Premiership status by then.
