The Gunners returned from their two trips to Manchester empty handed as they suffered narrow defeats to both Manchester United and Manchester City in their last two matches. The defeats provided a dampener to the Emirates Stadium faithful who were optimistic that their side can finally end a five year wait and lift the Premier League title for the first time since 2003-04 season.
