Roma will hope to avoid a hat-trick of Champions League knock out stage losses at the hands of English opposition when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Watch every minute of live football action here on Live Sport Network.

Arsenal shrugged off indifferent form in the domestic Premier League to qualify in style for the knock out stages of Europe's Premier Football competition. The Gunners finished second in Group G with 11 points from 6 games after losing 2-0 to eventual group winners Porto on the final Matchday.

Manager Arsene Wenger will hope his side can do enough to go through to the next stage as winning this competition appears to be their only hope of getting into next season's draw simply because they are currently out of the top four in the league. Wenger has injury concerns over Eduardo ahead of this tie after the Croatian striker suffered a hamstring injury following his comeback from a horrific leg injury earlier this month.

 

 

Meanwhile Roma are in a good position in Serie A, but it will be their Champions League form or the lack of it that will be a concern for fans ahead of this game. Roma went down to Manchester United at this stage for two successive times in the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

Roma progressed as winners of Group A, which also included Chelsea. Coach Luciano Spalletti will hope that his side is adequately prepared to face Arsenal because of their successful outings against Chelsea in the group stages.

 

 

Simone Perrotta and Daniele De Rossi will be back for this game after serving a suspension in the game against Siena over the weekend. The return of Francesco Totti from a leg injury will also boost Roma's hopes ahead of this game.
