Newcastle United go into their Premier League match against Arsenal on Saturday with a great chance of walking away from the clash with at least a point from the Emirates Stadium. Catch all the live Premier League action on Live Sport Network.

The Magpies have had a great start to the new season, earning a credible draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford and followed it up with comfortable victories over Bolton Wanderers and Coventry City in the league and the Carling Cup respectively.

 

 

Manager Kevin Keegan will be pleased with the form shown by Michael Owen as he came off the bench to bag a goal both against Bolton and Coventry. With the manager scheduled to hold talks with owner Mike Ashley over a number of matters including a new contract for Michael Owen, the England striker will have done his prospects no harm with his displays over the last week.

However Keegan will be worried over his defense who allowed Coventry to come back from two goals down to level the scores in the final minute of the game to push the tie into extra time. Though Newcastle escaped with some good attacking display against Coventry, they might not be getting second chances against Premiership sides and especially against a side that will be itching to improve on their poor performance in their last match.

 

 

Arsenal will be looking to recover from their shock defeat to Fulham last weekend by pulling off a comfortable victory against Newcastle on Saturday. Midfielder Cesc Fabregas should be back in action after missing out the last match with a hamstring injury though new signing Mikael Silvestre is a doubt after straining his thigh muscle.
