Arsenal face the prospect of a third successive trophy-less season with the club now chasing a runners up spot when they take on Reading in their next Premiership encounter on Saturday. Watch Arsenal vs Reading live online on Live Sport Network’s streaming football feeds.

Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United put them nine points behind the league leaders with just four matches remaining in the season and while manager Arsene Wenger has already conceded the title chase, he would have set a new aim of finishing runners up in the league after finishing fourth in the last two seasons.

However Wenger is pleased with his side's overall performance, blaming poor decisions that went against them and a poor patch of form at the most crucial stage of the season cost them the league title. Arsenal were five points clear at the top of the league table in March but lost their way dramatically after the FA Cup thrashing against Manchester United, collecting just eight points from their last eight matches.

With a fairly easy set of fixtures in their remaining four matches, Wenger will now be hoping to catch up Chelsea and finish second in the league, starting by collecting all three points against Reading this weekend.

Meanwhile Reading find themselves in a precarious position with relegation still a possibility after the shock 2-0 defeat to Fulham last weekend. Bolton Wanderers' subsequent victory saw them reduce the gap to just three points with four more games remaining.

Reading will be desperately searching for at least a point against Arsenal this weekend but have lost all of their three league meetings between the two clubs, conceding nine goals and scoring just two.

Graeme Murty could be available for selection after recovering from a knee injury but Jimmy Kebe continues to be out of action for at least another week.
