Arsenal will be looking to avenge their disappointing defeat to Chelsea in the Carling Cup final two seasons ago and land a cup knockout punch of their own when the two teams meet in their FA Cup semi final clash on Saturday. Watch all the live FA Cup action here on Live Sport Network

 

 

Both the teams are in danger of ending another season without a trophy with Arsenal's barren run extending all the way back to 2005. The Gunners have already beaten Chelsea once early this season when a Robin Van Persie brace helped them to a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge and manager Arsene Wenger will be confident of repeating that performance at Wembley this weekend.

After a disappointing first half of the season, Arsenal have hit high gear at the right time, winning five of their last six matches and scoring 16 goals in the process.

 

 

Chelsea on the other hand are looking very shaky at the back, almost getting knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday as Liverpool managed to score four goals while Bolton came very close to snatching a point in the league by scoring three goals in space of eight minutes.

Manager Guus Hiddink will be aware that only a vastly improved performance from his side will help them enter their ninth FA Cup final, a tournament that presents an excellent chance for the Russia coach to end his tenure with some silverware.

 

 

Both the teams last met in the competition back in 2002-03 season at Highbury with Arsenal turning out to be 2-1 winners after Jose Antonio Reyes scored a brace in space of five second half minutes.

Arsenal will be missing a number of key players with Manuel Almunia, William Gallas, Gael Clichy and Johan Djourou all missing out due to injuries. Chelsea on the other hand have no major injury concerns and will be confident of securing a win on Saturday.
