Arsenal will be looking to move to second in the Premier League table with a second win in as many games against Bolton Wanderers when the two teams clash on Wednesday. Goals from Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida saw Arsenal secure a comfortable 2-0 win over Bolton in Owen Coyle’s first game in charge of the club and manager Arsene Wenger will be expecting nothing less than another three points on Wednesday as he looks to maintain pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table.

A win on Wednesday will see Arsenal replace Manchester United in the second place and move the Gunners within a point of league leaders Chelsea. Wenger will be pleased with his side’s form so far this season but will be aware that the Arsenal will have to avoid yet another dip in form in the final third of the season in order to remain in contention of lifting the title for the first time in five years.

Meanwhile Bolton manager Owen Coyle said that he was pleased with the level of performance but expressed his disappointment over the result. The 43-year old bemoaned his side’s poor finishing ability, adding his side should have had gotten at least a point from this game based on their performance.

The defeat sees Bolton slip down to 19th in the league table and though they have two games in hand over their immediate rivals, Coyle will be aware that his side will have to come away with at least a point against the Gunners on Wednesday.
