Argentina confirmed their participation in the knockout stage with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Greece to maintain their perfect record in the group stages. Diego Maradona had made a number of changes to his side but there was no change in the result with Argentina securing their third successive victory in the competition.

With Brazil unimpressive in their two wins and the European teams struggling to find form, Argentina have emerged as the favorites to lift the trophy but Maradona will be aware that it will take just one slip up from his side to end the tournament in tears.

Mexico on the other hand will be hoping that Lionel Messi has a bad day out as they look to book a place in only their third quarter final appearance. Carlos Vela is the only major injury concern for Mexico while Maradona has all of his players available for selection.
