Meanwhile Colombia will hope to break into the top five in order to stay in the hunt for a ticket to South Africa. They lost their last game 2-0 to Venezuela thanks to goals from Nicolas Fedor and Juan Arango.

Coach Eduardo Lara has recalled Inter Milan defender Ivan Cordoba to the squad after two years. Lara has also called up Juan Guillermo Cuadrado and striker Teofilo Gutierrez for the first time.

Colombia are sixth in the South American qualifying group with 14 points from 12 games played so far.
