A good European campaign so far has seen Anorthosis sit second in their group table after collecting five points from their four matches and should they beat Bremen on Wednesday, then they will become the first Cypriot club to qualify for the knockout stages.

A late Hugo Almeida goal ensured that Bremen came away from Greece with a 2-2 draw against Panathinaikos but luck ran out for the German side as they were comprehensively beaten by Panathinaikos in the return leg.
