Andorra v Russia Live
Russia play Andorra in their final match of the qualifying campaign knowing fully well that they have missed a golden chance to qualify to the Euro 2008 championships next year.
Omer Golan broke Russian hearts with a goal deep in injury time, condemning Guus Hiddink's side to a 2-1 defeat against Israel on Saturday. The loss means that Russia will now have to win against Andorra in their final match and hope that Croatia avoids defeat against England on Wednesday.
Russia had looked on course for a famous win at the Ramat Gan Stadium when Diniyar Bilyaletdinov equalized for the visitors with Israel fully on the back foot. While many expected the Russians to press forward and grab the win, it was Israel who rode high on Golan's goal to emerge the victors, allowing England to hope of grabbing a backdoor ticket to the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland next year.
Meanwhile Andorra have lost 11 straight matches in this campaign, with the latest loss coming against Estonia on Saturday. Andres Oper and Joel Lindpere scored on the either side of the half time as Andorra continued their search for a point in the qualifiers.
With the Russians overwhelming favorites to win the game, coach David Rodrigo will be delighted if his team manages to hit the back of the net in their final match of the qualifiers, with Andorra scoring just 2 goals in over 11 matches so far.
Andorra are at the bottom of Group E with no points from 11 games, while Russia are third with 21 points from 11 games.
