The Catalan giants struggled to collect all three points against Malaga last weekend and needed a Lionel Messi goal in the final six minutes to secure a victory against the relegation threatened club.

The victory saw Barcelona maintain their two point lead at the top of the table and coach Josep Guardiola will be aware that a tougher test awaits this weekend when they visit the Estadio Mediterraneo.  Barcelona will also need to prepare for a visit from Stuttgart in the second leg of the Champions League knockout phase.

Meanwhile, an unbeaten run of five games has seen Almeria climb to 13th in the league table and coach Juan Manuel Lillo will be hopeful that his side can maintain their good form against the defending champions this weekend.
