Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam host Slovak champions Slovan Bratislava at the Amsterdam Arena this Thursday in a battle to earn an automatic spot in the group stages of the newly formed Europa League. Olympiacos won 2-0 in both legs. Dusan Uhrin's men are currently second in the 2009-10 edition of the Slovak Superliga, a point behind leaders Nitra. They do have a game in hand though. Slovan's last game was a 1-1 draw with Artmedia Petrzalka. Andrej Hodek gave the visitors the lead in the 33rd minute, but Juraj Halenar equalised for Slovan twelve minutes later.
