The Hoops took advantage of a slip up by Rangers in their game against Motherwell by collecting all three points against Hearts. Celtic registered a convincing 2-0 win on Wednesday thanks to goals from Glenn Loovens and Marc-Antoine Fortune.

The win means Celtic are now 8 points behind Rangers with 47 points from 24 games played so far. For this game, Andreas Hinkel, Jos Hooiveld, Darren O`Dea, Paddy McCourt and Shaun Maloney continue to miss out with various injuries.

Meanwhile Aberdeen were unlucky to be held to a 2-2 draw by Hibernian despite taking a 2-0 lead. Michael Paton and Steven MacLean put the Dons 2-0 up in the first half, but goals from Anthony Stokes and Abdessalam Benjelloun gave the Hibs one point from the game. The draw sees Aberdeen placed 6th on the table with 28 points from 23 games played so far.
