APOEL lie at the bottom of the group having managed to garner just one point from four outings so far. That point came in a 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid on Matchday 1. The latter is back in full training, but may not play this game.

Meanwhile Atletico will hope to salvage some of their tattered reputation in Europe by claiming the third place in this group. The Spanish club has had a nightmare start to the season and are currently third behind Porto in this group.

In their last game, they showed some spunk holding Chelsea to a 2-2 draw thanks to a brace from Sergio Aguerro. New coach Quique Sanchez Flores has battled swine flu, but is back in command and will hope his side can salvage some pride in this game. Roberto.
