APOEL Nicosia coach Ivan Jovanovic will be hoping that his side will be able to repeat the performance from their first Champions League group stage game when they welcome a Chelsea side who will be looking for blood in their next match on Wednesday. The Blues suffered a shock 3-1 to Wigan Athletic in their last domestic league match on Saturday and manager Carlo Ancelotti will be looking for a positive response from his side against an opposition that will be playing their first even Champions League group stage match in the midweek.

APOEL had a perfect home record in the qualifying round in this season's competition and followed it up with an excellent display in their 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid in their first group game. Expected to finish at the bottom of the group table, APOEL will be hoping to spring some surprises in their maiden group stage campaign and at least finish third in the table that will see them extend their European campaign into the Europa League.

Chelsea on the other hand will be confident of registering their second straight win in the group stages that will see them move within touching distance of progressing to the next round. A Nicolas Anelka goal helped them secure a narrow 1-0 win over Porto in their opening group match at Stamford Bridge and while his side were expected to register a far more comfortable victory, Ancelotti has expressed his satisfaction over the result and is looking forward to the trip to Cyprus on Wednesday.
