After winning just two of their first seven games, Milan have hit a green patch with the club on a nine match unbeaten streak and winning six of their last seven games. The excellent run of form has seen Milan climb above Juventus to second in the league table and though they are still seven points behind league leaders Inter Milan, fans will be confident that their side can close down the gap very quickly if they manage to maintain their form for the remainder of the season.

Milan registered their fourth successive victory with a last gasp 2-0 win over Catania last weekend. The Rossoneri were kept out for nearly most of the game as Catania hung on dearly for a clean sheet but new signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar finally managed to break his duck for his new club as he came off the bench to score two quick goals in injury time to grab all three points for his side.

Milan are expected to secure a comfortable win over Sampdoria who have now managed just one win in their last five games. The Blucerchiat had an excellent start to the season but recent poor form has seen the club slide down to fourth in the league table.

Though they are still in contention for a Champions League spot next season, coach Luigi Del Neri will be aware that his side will have to turn their form sooner rather than later if they are to remain within touching distance of a top four finish come the end of the season.
