Milan looked to have turned their season around following two consecutive victories but put up yet another disappointing showing on Wednesday as Napoli held them to a 2-2 draw. Filippo Inzaghi opened the scoring for Milan just two minutes before kickoff while Pato doubled the lead in the 5th minute.

Just when it looked like Milan were cruising to their third successive league win, Luca Cigarini and German Denis hit the target late in injury time to ensure that Napoli picked up a point from the game.

The result sees Milan hold on to their fifth place in the league table, one point behind fourth placed Parma and six behind league leaders Inter Milan who do have a game in hand. Manager Leonardo will be expecting nothing less than a victory against Parma this weekend and will be well aware that a defeat would all but put an end to their title challenge.

Parma on the other hand will be looking to put some more daylight between themselves and fifth place with the club in a great position to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in nearly a decade.

The Gialloblu registered their fifth win of the season on Wednesday as they secured a 2-0 win over Bari. Valeri Bojinov and Alberto Paloschi were on target in the second half as Parma were made to fight for the result.
