AC Milan were able to go above Juventus into second place after their 5-1 win over Torino last week. The Rossoneri were able to rout Torino thanks to a hat-trick from Filippo Inzaghi, while Kaka and Massimo Ambrosini scored the other goals. Ivan Franceschini scored the lone consolation goal for Torino.

The win took Milan to 64 points from 32 games played so far and manager Carlo Ancelotti will hope his side can do enough in the remaining games to secure a top two finish. Marek Jankulovski returns from suspension, while Paulo Maldini is also fit after recovering from a thigh injury. Ancelotti, who served a touchline ban against Torino, will be back in the dugout on Sunday.

Meanwhile Palermo are also fighting hard for a spot in the Europa League next season. The Sicilian outfit are currently placed seventh on the league table with 49 points from 32 games.

Last week they overcame Bologna 4-1 thanks to goals from Simon Kjaer, Edison Cavani and Davide Succi after Manuel Belleri's own goal had given them an early lead. Marco di Vaio scored the lone goal for Bologna.

Palermo coach Davide Ballardini was delighted with his side's performance and hoped they could challenge Fiorentina and Roma for the European spot. The club will be without goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli, who is out with a knee injury, but Fabio Simplicio returns from suspension.
