The Rossoneri have put up an incredible run of form to pull four points clear of Juventus in the race for the second place and have impressed in their last two games against Genoa and Juventus. Two goals from Ronaldinho and another by Alessandro Nesta saw Milan secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Juventus, just four days after an excellent performance against Genoa.

 

 

Milan were dumped out of the competition at this stage last season after suffering an extra time defeat to eventual winners Lazio. However with the league title looking increasingly difficult to win and Milan set to face Manchester United in the knockout stage of the Champions League, Leonardo will be aware that the Coppa Italia provides him with the best chance to mark his debut season with a trophy.

Novara on their part will look to pose as difficult a challenge as possible for their much-vaunted opponents.
