AC Milan dropped two vital points in their pursuit of Inter and Juventus, when they were held to a 2-2 draw away to Roma. The surprising inclusion of David Beckham from the start of the game raised a few eyebrows and the Englishman ended up playing for 89 minutes of the match, putting in a solid performance. David Beckham’s inclusion from the start of Milan’s game against Roma last weekend surprised many people, including Beckham himself. Fiorentina travel north to Milan at the weekend on the back of a surprising home defeat to Lecce which has thrown a spanner in the works of the teams attempts to secure a Champions League qualification spot. It was their first home league defeat of the season, and it couldn’t really have come at a worst time. Another defeat on Saturday to Milan will make things extremely difficult in terms of Champions League places.
