AC Milan take on Cagliari in their next Serie A clash this weekend with fans hoping that their side will manage to turn around their poor form and push for a place in the Champions League for the next season. Milan's challenge for a top four finish received a big blow last weekend as they lost out to Atlanta with Sergio Floccari and Antonio Langella putting the visitors 2-0 ahead before half time. Paolo Maldini grabbed one back for Milan in the 85th minute but the hosts were reduced to 10 men after Alessandro Nesta was sent off three minutes before full time.

Meanwhile Cagliari coach Davide Ballardini will be looking to build on his side's good performance in the 1-1 draw against Roma last weekend and pick up more points against Milan this Saturday. Cagliari are currently positioned 18th in the league table with 29 points from 31 games but have three more teams in company with the same number of points.

Cagliari are in good form, collecting 8 in their last four matches and fans will be hoping that side will maintain their current form and pull away from the relegation zone. But Ballardini will be aware that his side will have to be at their best with the club collecting just one point from their last seven league meetings against Milan.
